The
EDICO
PC-software has been designed for anyone studying the operations of
modern diesel injection engines. It also suits for the study of motor
control systems. The program is self-instructing and therefore an
excellent tool for self-study.
Parts of EDICO: How
does the diesel engine work? Introducing the basics of engine
operation and combustion. Sensors & actuators:
The functions of the various sensors and actuators - their voltage
values as measured by oscilloscopes, and the correct resistance values.
The measurement results can be saved in a measurement log. Turbocharging
control section explains how the turbocharger operates. Exhaust
gas recirculation illustrates the EGR-function. Index
section lists all components of the engine control system. Specifications
& measurement results
shows a list of reference values for each component, defaults for
voltage measurements, and a measurement log. The results in the log are
stored in the memory and can be printed out.
Printed exercises
for students.
